I’m finally getting around to writing up the release notes for 0.7.39, which went up this past Saturday:
- Add code to allow upgrading houses. (This is not yet user-accessible.)
- Added tooltips to the “Next Train UI”, so you can mouse over the little icons with little green and red arrows and get a short explanation.
- Add a little “Saving…” indicator in the top right when saving the game. (Usually during an autosave.)
- If Autosave is enabled, save when quitting the game or exiting to menu.
- Allow the Continue button to load autosaves.
- Prevent the NavigationManager from doing two rebakes in a row. (This was causing significant lag when building roads, as it would try and rebake the navigation map for each tile. The original code had *some* optimization to prevent more than two rebakes being queued up, but this was insufficient.)
- Fixed an issue where settings weren’t displaying properly when opening the game for the first time.
- Widened the “Edit Railway” window to better support non-English languages.

- Added customizable railway logos – the OB&T has been replaced with a new default, and now the 16×7 grid of pixels is fully customizable.
- Added a new propulsion mechanism to level 4.
- Unlocked a few extra tiles in the rows next to the tracks. (Some squares are still reserved for future construction.)
- Progress bars are now fully fixed, and there’s no more gap between showing as full and actually reaching 100%.
- Fixed a bug with the placement of buildings larger than 2×2.
- Made animal noises less frequent.
- Fixed a bug where typing W, A, S, or D while renaming your railway would cause the camera to move.
